Where to stay near Pont du Gard when dining at L'Oxalis

Coming for dinner at L'Oxalis and would rather not drive after a Tasting Menu paired with a glass of Côtes-du-Rhône? Smart move. Here are our recommendations for spending the night in Collias or very close by, starting with what's nearest to the restaurant.

In Collias itself — walking distance

Le Castellas — A village institution at 30 Grand Rue, right next to us. A boutique hotel with tastefully decorated rooms, a quiet garden and a pool. Perfect for a one-stop getaway: just stroll back after dessert.

Village guesthouses — Several warm addresses in the medieval centre, often run by passionate couples. The list changes seasonally — a quick call to the Pont du Gard tourist office (+33 4 66 37 50 22) will get you the up-to-date list.

A 5–10 minute drive

La Bégude Saint-Pierre (Vers-Pont-du-Gard) — 4-star hotel-restaurant in a former Cévenol manor, 8 km away. Spa, pool, parkland. The classic choice for a refined night.

Mas des Oules (Saint-Victor-des-Oules) — Restored stone mas, Provençal atmosphere, 15 minutes away. Spacious rooms and a thoughtful breakfast.

Around Uzès — to combine with a day in town

Hôtel Entraigues — Small 4-star hotel on Place de l'Évêché in Uzès, 12 km away. Rooftop terrace overlooking the cathedral.

La Maison d'Uzès — 5-star, Michelin-starred restaurant on site. A pairing for two beautiful meals over a weekend.

Short-term rentals

For groups or longer stays, Airbnb and Gîtes de France list stone houses in Collias and nearby villages (Castillon-du-Gard, Argilliers, Vers-Pont-du-Gard). Very reasonable rates outside summer.
